THE FELT INNOVATOR

Construction felt P40 and P50 are mainly used for pressure-distributing bearings at higher loads and larger spans. It is also very suitable for levelling edge stresses, such as for the support of beams and floor elements.

Building felt P40 and P50 are also used for acoustic decoupling of walls and floors and the vibration-free installation of machine foundations. If horizontal displacements occur (usually due to temperature influences), the Building Felt P40 and P50 must be provided with a sliding layer, for which graphite is used (see Building Felt Sliding Supports).

Steel structures that are installed using Building Felt P40 and P50 can be protected against corrosion by a graphite coating (Gravil version S). In the event of possible long-term exposure to moisture, the Building Felt should be sealed in a PE film.
